Angel by Jo Thomas and Symbiont by Matthew Adkins have been co-commissioned by Sonic Arts Network, GRM in France and The Huddersfield Festival of Contemporary Music and were premièred as part of the Festivals programme on Sunday 24 November at 5pm in the Lawrence Batley Theatre.

Angel explores the concept of 'the Angel' in our everyday lives. In Paradise Angels have no memory of the past, they have no recognition of the future, their Paradise is the present, they exist in a unique form which is specific to that moment in time.

Symbiont explores and explodes the fragile boundaries that delineate the digital arts. Sonically it pours extreme DJ techniques, electroacoustic sounds and drum 'n' bass into a vast melting pot and revels in the hybrid mutant concoctions that seep out.
