Written, hosted and produced by Paul Rudy, the Virtual Concert Hall intersects the boundaries between the traditional performance in the concert hall, and the creation of pre-recorded works of electroacoustic music in the studio. The philosophy behind the show is that electroacoustic music, often without performers, has a performed quality that can be transferred over the radio waves into private homes. Created through a partnership between the University of Missouri, Kansas City iMPact Centre and the Sonic Arts Network, the sound world of The Virtual Concert Hall ranges from amplified acoustic instruments to totally unrecognisable sounds from natural and created environments.

Launching with a one-off Saturday show on the 18 May, Paul Rudy's specially produced programmes will focus on a wide variety of electroacoustic works from the setting of the twentieth, and the dawning of the twenty-first century every Saturday from 1.30-2.30pm.
