Sonimation has commissioned six new animated films by some of Britain’s most exciting emerging artists. Their work can be seen this summer in cinemas in Cambridge, Ipswich, Norwich and Sherringham and around the UK.

The project aims to encourage synthesis between sound and animation by supporting artistic collaboration; and to study the impact of digital technology on practice by asking artists to explore and document the way they work together.

Sonimation features a programme of education and outreach at each of the four cinemas across the east of England with workshops in sound and animation and presentations by the film-makers at each screening.
